1. this is an interesting record the beatles 1st single, and some originals of songs they made cover versions of here you hear why the beatles did the records the way they did. they replicated the sound of the girl harmonies. from some tracks, others i hear songs i'd not known before by the artists the beatles covered they are quite a mixture of styles all were later given the beatles treatment /5(44).

4. Not their best by a long shot. Shortly after in the Beatles released some GREAT records, i.e. - "She Loves You," "Twist and Shout," "I Saw Her Standing There," "Tell Me Why," etc. along with some very average ones, i.e - "Do You Want to Know a Secret," "From Me to You," the song in question, etc. Still it was a pretty nice love song.

5. Ringo, of course, featured on all nine subsequent BBC radio versions, one of which for Pop Go The Beatles is on the Live At The BBC 2CD. This CD re-issue of the original single features the 11th September version backed with P.S. I Love You. This was recorded the same day, with Andy White on drums and Ringo this time on maracas/5(4).
